Fitness Together Lynnfield is a premium private personal training studio serving the community for over 20 years through one-on-one coaching, personalized programming, and real accountability.

 

As we prepare for our next stage of growth and transition into a future expanded location, we are looking for an intern with long-term potential who can be developed into a future trainer role.

 

This is more than an internship. It is a mentorship-based career opportunity for someone who wants to learn how successful coaching works in the real world.

Whether you are a student, recent graduate, or making a career change, this role is designed to help the right candidate gain hands-on experience, earn certification, and grow into a professional coaching position.

 

Responsibilities

  • Shadow experienced trainers during live personal training sessions
  • Learn the Signature Fit Evaluation process including movement and posture assessments
  • Assist with warm-ups, cooldowns, equipment setup, and approved coaching tasks
  • Learn exercise progressions, regressions, cueing, and safe session flow
  • Observe and practice client communication, motivation, and accountability coaching
  • Complete weekly assignments, case studies, and mentorship meetings
  • Learn studio systems including scheduling, client experience, and professionalism
  • Prepare for certification and future transition into a trainer role
  • Support a positive, energetic, team-first studio environment

Qualifications

  • Strong people skills and professional communication
  • Dependable, punctual, and coachable
  • Genuine interest in health, fitness, and helping others succeed
  • Comfortable working with adults of different ages and fitness levels
  • Ability to receive feedback and apply it quickly
  • Positive attitude with strong personal accountability
  • Student, graduate, or career changer welcome
  • Prior experience in coaching, teaching, healthcare, hospitality, sales, or customer service is a plus
  • CPR/AED certification is helpful but not required
  • No degree in exercise science required for the right candidate
  • Desire to become a certified personal trainer and build a long-term career in fitness
